ITINERARY

[Option 1] Kim Bong Village

We take a short walk from your hotel in ancient town of Hoi An to Bach Dang pier. Then a morning transfer via boat brings you to Kim Bong where the descendants of four gifted crafting families have been perfecting their skills since the 15th century. Hop on a bicycle for a guided tour of the village shipbuilding yard, temples, and workshops. Admire the fine craftsmanship practiced at Kim Bong such as: mats weaving & coracle boats making, and pass through scenic countryside with paddy fields and a bamboo bridge. During the trail, you will enjoy refreshments with snack and local foods at villagers' homes there. Back to your hotel.

[Option 2] Duy Hai Fishing

You are picked up at 4.45am at your hotel to take a boat trip to Duy Hai village. We board the local ferry for Duy Hai fishing hub which is filled with boats and sampans. Not many travelers venture here, so expect plenty of attention from the locals. You will see the fishermen bring in their catch from a night at sea on the river delta; where ocean and river meet, and witness how locals smoke and dry the fish. There is ample opportunity to capture the morning light spilling across the water, to get shots of light filtering through the fish smoking chamber and plenty of countryside greenery to give you contrast. During your cycling time along this narrow dirt- road, you will have a chance to interact with local daily life, school, and raucous Noi Rang market. Here, Noi Rang market marks its name on Vietnam map for its ashes business since 1970s.

Stop at a local family where we have some coffee and snacks. We then catch our boat back to Hoi An. On the way, we will have plenty of opportunities take photo of the locals and scenery. Boarding to Hoi An by 9.30am
