When light shines on the water, you will be amazed by how clear it is. DESTINATIONS • Sala Hinboun, the Laos traditional residence built entirely in local timber HIGHLIGHTS • Boat trip on Hin Boun River to enjoy the stunning limestone karst scenery
ITINERARY [Day 1] Kong Lor Cave Exploration You'll be picked up from your hotel this morning and travel South of the capital city. Enroute, we stop at Prabaht Ponsan, an Ancient stupa dating back to the 15th Century. It is also home of the Ancient Buddha footprint, discovered in 1933, and now an important religious site in Laos. After lunch, we continue onwards into Khammoune province to get into the mountainous area, where a stop at a view point near Khoun Kham offers a breathtaking view over the surrounding area. We eventually reach Ban Naphouak, where we board a local boat on the Hin Boun River. The journey upstream takes us pass some stunning limestone karst scenery, as well as a number of villages with smiling waving children. We reach your accommodation for the overnight at Sala Hin Boun in the late afternoon. You have the rest of the day at leisure.
