Often referred to as "Inland Ha Long Bay", the area of Tam Coc and Hoa Lu is characterized by the limestone geology that gives rise to the towering karst formations that make this picturesque area so unique. This wonderful itinerary takes you over the Tram Ton (Heaven's Gate) Pass to explore the far side of Mt. Fansipan and the Hoang Lien Mountain Range. Often, when Sapa is shrouded in clouds and fog, this side is clear and blue. Descend through one of Vietnam's most picturesque and awe-inspiring valleys. The Cu Chi tunnels are a byzantine maze of underground passages, chambers, rooms and booby traps used during the war and a symbol of Vietnamese resilience.
